About

This site started life as a place I hoped to gather together others interested in passing vintage Americana and document the places it still existed or even existed until recently.  I wasn’t able to generate the needed interest to get that off the ground so instead I think this is a good proxy.

This site’s new purpose is to celebrate imagery of the 20th century.  The 20th century even at its bleaker moments tended to have an optimism for the future that shined in the art, architecture, and design of the day, from art deco to blocky post modern, we would have flying cars one day seemed to be the motto!

I’m collecting what I feel is the best in the art I can find.  It may be a photo of an art deco building or a 50’s drive in, or it could be paintings and drawings of those old wonders, or it can simply be art that’s been created today but appears to be inspired by yesteryear!

I hope you’ll check back often for updates!
