This fun design is modern work but the artist was inspired by the stylized lines of the Art Deco movement.  It also has, per the artist, a bit of Steampunk inspiration as well.  Steampunk usually harkens to a bit older period in the 19th century when steam power was widespread.  Still, it seems a very appropriate marriage or ar forms in this fun t-shirt.  Sure to be enjoyed by the artistic and creative folks in your life who enjoy retro art in general and steampunk in particular.
