This wonderful graphic t-shirt captures the feeling of the classic 1950s diner that is in the minds eye of so many Americans and fans of Americana. It’s reminiscent of the Sterling Streamliner diners that were prefabricated and shipped around America for a brief period from 1936 to 1942. They were built to resemble railroad cars of the day, but construction ceased at the start of the Second World War. In the post-war years, a wave of stainless steel restaurants would follow and become one of many icons of the 50s era.
