Great black and white poster of the gorgeous art nouveau Metro stations that any visitor to Paris will remember. Even the lettering in “Metropolitan” really speaks of the architectural style of the day. This particular poster is in black and white and provides a really strong graphic feel that emphasizes the lines and curves even more. Art Nouveau was popular around the beginning of the 20th century and elements inspired the later Art Deco movement as well. Paris has consciously kept the Art Nouveau style in subsequent renovations and new stations to maintain this distinctly Parisian feeling to their rapid transit.
