A wonderful photo of a vintage diner in Lisbon, Ohio, taken by photographer, Joanne Mariol. The Crosser Diner is a rare example of a Sterling non-streamliner dinette model dinerbuilt in circa 1944. These diners were mass produced and delivered complete to the site. The sign for this diner, which appears contemporary, has been removed and the building’s future is in question. Empty since 2002, the building began to collapse and was dismantled and moved to Missouri where it’s hoped it will be rebuilt. For now, a piece of mid century modern is lost. Unknown where the sign in this print has gone.
